The Ross County Agricultural Society's Equine Facility Subcommittee is seeking partnerships to fund the development of an indoor facility. The equine program is the only program at the fairgrounds which is vulnerable to the weather. The committee is seeking to build a facility that not only serves the youth of Ross County and surrounding counties but provides needed Hippo-therapy programs for vulnerable populations such as individuals with disabilities and veterans who are suffering from PTSD.

The horse show arena is an outdoor facility that is vulnerable to the elements. Many times, our youth have to exhibit their yearlong projects in subpar and dangerous conditions. This building will also help the vulnerable in our community by having a safe facility out of the elements to host equine therapy events for MRDD and veterans suffering from PTSD. This building could also be used as an emergency site, such as a mass vaccination location.
Our goal is for construction to start in 2023 and be complete for fair 2024.
Contact any of our committee members or access the pledge form below. We accept cash, check, multi-year pledges, labor, material and other in-kind donations. We are a 501c3 organization so all donations are tax deductible.
Current plans project the new building to cost around $4 million. This cost could fluctuate, depending on material costs at the time of construction.
The new building will be located to the north of the existing horse barn and arena. Thanks to the generosity of the Ross County Agricultural Society, the existing arenas will remain as they are.
